Founded in 1983 by the well-known ophthalmologist Prof. Dr. Jan Worst, Ophtec has grown to become a supplier of premium lenses and intraocular solutions to ophthalmologists and hospitals worldwide. It employs approximately 175 people with 9 subsidiaries around the world. The head office and production site are located in Groningen, the Netherlands.
